Screen-Shot-2014-03-22-at-7.34.54-PMPastor Joel Osteen makes a lot of money. People didn’t know exactly how much money his church made until a recent robbery and the numbers were mind boggling. All of the conversation about his massive church wealth came after it was reported that someone robbed the church and took $600,000 in cash and checks from the church safe.

In a statement released by the Lakewood Church, it was announced that the robbery took place after church on Sunday March 9 and the money was gone by the next morning.

So far, no arrests have been made, and the church has told concerned members of its congregation that all of the money is insured. But one concern is that there was credit card information in the envelopes, which could lead to identity theft.

Finally, the church has announced a $25,000 reward for anyone with information that can lead to the capture and arrest of those involved in the theft. A total of 40,000 people attend the weekly services at Osteen’s church and the sermons are televised in over 100 countries.
